One of the most important teams of the English Premier League came to Santa Clara California to face the local MLS representative, SJ Quakes as a part of his 2018 Tour.

This game was a dream come true for many Quakes players who got the opportunity to play against a team with a glorious name. This game is a friendly and the level of competition is not important. The result is not what the Quakes came to play for. Is obvious that the “Black and Blue” are preparing the new players for the future. That’s why several Quakes players made their club debut, including 16-year-olds Gilbert Fuentes and Jacob Akanyirige.

Santa Clara was sunny last Saturday, usual for a Californian Summer day, that helped the over 30 thousand fans  to have a wonderful time, enjoy the game they love and check the team they support versus the team they admire.
Is always fun to see how soccer keeps growing in the USA and also is noticeable what the professional teams are doing to prepare their young players for the future.
The game played at Levi’s Stadium ended in a cero cero tie, but like I said before the result was the less important on this match. The opportunity the new Quakes players had is priceless, the fans had a good time and at the end of the game that is what counts.
